Ever since the annoucement of this movie came out over a year ago, we have been waiting in anticipation! And just like we did for Hidden Figures in January 2017, beGirl.world wants to pack the theater with youth to see A Wrinkle In Time! This time however we are doing it bigger and better by partnering with another dope Philly organization, Uniquely You Summit AND national organization, Color of Change! Here's how you can get in on the action!
This film is rated PG. A film adaption of the classic novel, A Wrinkle in Time is the story of Meg Murry, a high-school-aged girl who is transported on an adventure through time and space with her younger brother Charles Wallace and her friend Calvin O'Keefe to rescue her father, a gifted scientist, from the evil forces that hold him prisoner on another planet.
We are looking for schools who can bring students on March 9th to showings in Cherry Hill and Philadelphia (Franklin) Mills during the day to experience this awesome movie. Are you connected to a school? Email email@example.com and we'll let you know the times and details. Schools are responsible for getting the students to and from the theater. We have a limited number of tickets - so first come, first serve! Color of Change is doing this in multiple cities. Find out more here!
Okay, so you aren't a school but you have an organization that serves young girls or you know/have girls that you want to attend this screening? Well, don't fret - there's another opportunity on March 10th! We have space for over 150 girls ages 7-17 to attend A Wrinkle In Time at the Delaware Avenue movie theater for FREE! The time will be 11:00am. This showing will also include a great panel on the importance of diverse storytelling and storytellers. Adults can attend too but must pay for their ticket! Want to learn more or sign up? We'd LOVE to have you. SIGN UP HERE!
And finally, if you don't fit in to either category, but still want to help - you can donate to help a girl see the film! Check out the donation link HERE! We also have the option to PayPal (firstname.lastname@example.org) or Venmo (@beGirl-world).
Thank you as always for your support in empowering, elevating and equipping our girls!
